This independent type underground survey instrument 1 is constituted of a frame 2 formed into a flat shape and provided with an attaching face, electric field sensors 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d attached to attaching faces 2a, 2b, 2c, 2d of the frame 2 and fixed to a prescribed length of arm, magnetic field sensors 4a, 4b fixed onto the frame 2, and a cylindrical pressure container 6 built in with a data collection device 5 for reading detection signals detected by the electric field sensors 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d and the magnetic field sensors 4a, 4b, to be stored together with times.
