PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing device for enabling a user to recognize information on a facility that a user does not recognize at all in association with a spot determined by the user.SOLUTION: An information providing device includes: a user interface 1 for acquiring the position information of a spot determined by a user, and for acquiring POI(Point Of Interest) information 81 for characterizing a feature related to the spot on the basis of the acquired position information; an interface 3 for transmitting the acquired POI information 81 to a server device SV in which contribution information transmitted from a third person other than the user is recorded; and a processing part 5 for, when the contribution information related to the transmitted POI information 81 is extracted from the contribution information recorded in the server device SV and transmitted, acquiring and displaying the contribution information.
