PURPOSE: To prevent unpleasant noise from being mixed in a reproduced tone by giving an offset to a recording position with switching connection of two sound signals mutually in the direction of track scanning so as to record the signals in the vicinity of the switching recording position of different kinds of programs.

CONSTITUTION: A high frequency reproducing signal extracted from a pickup circuit 3 is applied to a demodulating circuit 4 and also an fp3 (index signal) detector 5 and band pass filters 6, 7. While a signal demodulated by a demodulating circuit 4 is applied to a video signal processing circuit from a terminal 21, the signal is applied to FM demodulators 22, 23, where the sound signal of the 1st channel and the 2nd channel is obtained separately. On the other hand, a pulse of high level having a prescribed period of nearly 1/2 field period is given to a switch circuit 25 from a monostable multivibrator 26 and the sound signal selected by the switch circuit 25 is switched into the sound signal of other channel after a prescribed period elapsed from kick point of time, then the mixture of noise is prevented.
