Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the scattering of bonded ink scum to the side surface of a printing head due to wiping and to perform wiping effectively at a high speed.
SOLUTION: Ink absorbers 15, 17 are provided in the contact places with a wiper 23 on both sides of the nozzle surface 13 of a printing head 11. Slits, grooves, uneven parts or holes are provided in the ink absorbers 15, 17 and, by the capillary phenomenon, ink trapping function or ink scraping function possessed by them, the ink absorbers 15, 17 absorb ink scum effectively.
