PURPOSE: To obtain an insulating heater for an electric rice cooker which achieves a stabilization of insulation temperature by arranging the insulating heater to be less affected by the mounting position thereof on a protective frame.
CONSTITUTION: A protective frame 16 is mounted in a main unit 15 and a heater 17 and a pot 18 are arranged in the protective frame 16. An insulating heater is provided at an upper part of the external surface of the protective frame 16 with an aluminum foil by a sticking means of a back surface heat sensitive adhesive tape and the like and a thermal lead switch 20 for ON or OFF control of the energization of the insulating heater is arranged in proximity to the means. Numeral 31 indicates a heat sensing part of the thermal lead switch 20 which is formed in a shape of a cylinder and normally made of aluminum material to cover the outer circumference of the thermal lead switch. The insulating heater arranged on the outer circumference of the protective frame 16 is pressed with the aluminum foil with an adhesive and further fixed. The thermal lead switch 20 has a heat sensing part 31 with the width thereof almost the same as that of the aluminum foil.
