Title:
INSULATOR FOR STATOR CORE OF ELECTRIC ROTATING MACHINE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3553756
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size of an electric rotating machine by enhancing the space factor of winding in slot thereby reducing the size of the core.
SOLUTION: The insulator 10 for an annular stator core of an electric rotating machine comprising coupling cores 1 split into sectors by making cuts extending radially while leaving a microjoint 3 on the outer circumferential side for each of a plurality of slots 2 made in the circumferential direction at constant intervals and windings 6 wound around the pole piece parts 5 between respective U-shaped slots 2 while being developed flatly has U-shape for electrically insulating the wall face of slots on the opposite sides of the pole piece part 5, respectively, by being fitted to the outside of the pole piece part 5 while straddling the pole piece part 5 from one side thereof. A constricted forward end piece part 11 being bent radially inward of the slot 2 is provided at the forward end of an outer piece part 10a covering the radially outside wall face 2a of the slot 2.
