To provide an IR sensitive photosensitive composition for direct plate making having such properties that when the composition is used as an image forming layer of a lithographic printing original plate, the layer shows a stable state before development, is superior from the economical viewpoint and has a preferable coating surface state, the layer is hardly dissolved in an unexposed part even when a developer liquid having strong developer activity is used, the layer shows excellent depositing property for printing ink, and thereby, the discrimination of an image is improved and favorable latitude for development is obtained.

The IR sensitive photosensitive composition comprises (A) a resin insoluble with water and soluble with an alkali aqueous solution, (B) a photothermal converting agent, (C) a fluorine-containing polymer having a (meth)acrylate monomer having 2 or 3 specified perfluoroalkyl groups in the molecule as the polymerization component, (D) a fluorine-containing polymer having at least specified three kinds of monomers as the copolymerization component and (E) a specified copolymer.
