PURPOSE: To obtain the optimum angle of bending of a lead by installing a fixing unit cutting and bending the lead and a motor-driven control unit capable of arbitrarily varying the stroke of the pawl of the fixing unit.
CONSTITUTION: A fixing unit 7 with a pair of rocking-able pawls 1 cutting and fastening a lead for an electronic part 39 inserted into a printed board 38, a cam drive unit 8 holding the fixing unit 7 and transmitting the drive of rocking over the pawls 1, and a motor 28-driven control unit mounted to the cam drive unit 8 as a means capable of arbitrarily changing the pawl rocking stroke of the fixing unit 7 are provided. Consequently, conditions such as the wire diameter and hardness of the electronic part inserted, the bore of the printed board, etc., are input previously, thus arbitrarily altering the position of the stroke lever 23 of the cam drive unit 8 by a control unit by a slide cam system in the pawls 1 of the fixing unit. Accordingly, the bending of the lead under an optimum condition can be ensured.
