Title:
LENS-METER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3387701
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reliability of the measured results of the addition in a progressive focal lens by continuously measuring the refracting power of the lens by switching the mode to an addition measuring mode and detecting a reference position and the bias of the position, and then, storing and displaying the measuring position when the addition becomes the maximum.
SOLUTION: The addition in a progressive focal lens are obtained by calculating the difference between a measured spherical degree and the spherical degree of the distant portion of the lens. The maximum addition of the lens is displayed in a displaying section 43 and the addition at a measuring point is displayed in an addition displaying section 60. When the addition per unit moving amount does not increase, the maximum addition is held and displayed in the section 43. When the maximum addition is displayed, the position of the measuring point at which the maximum addition is obtained is stored based on the moving amount obtained by means of a potentiometer and, at the same time, a MAX bar 47 is fixed and displayed to and at the position corresponding to the position. Therefore, the reproducibility and reliability of the measured results of the addition of the lens can be improved, because, even when the measuring point passes the position of the maximum addition, a corona target 45 can be realigned with the position of the maximum addition when the target 45 returns to the position of the bar 47.
