Abstract:
To provide a light-emitting device in which a wave plate can be miniaturized.SOLUTION: A light-emitting device includes: one or more light-emitting elements to emit a plurality of pieces of light including first light and second light; a package 10 having a disposition surface on which the one or more light-emitting elements are disposed and a light extracting surface through which the first light and the second light are to be emitted; a wave plate 60 bonded to the light extracting surface of the package at a position on which a main portion of the first light emitted from the light extracting surface is to be incident and a main portion of the second light is not to be incident; a lens member having an incidence surface on which the first light emitted from the light extracting surface and transmitted through the wave plate and the second light emitted from the light extracting surface are to be incident; and one or more bonding parts 80 disposed between the package and the lens member to bond the package and the lens member together. The wave plate 60 is sandwiched between the package and the lens member and disposed without being in contact with the lens member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
