To provide a compact light emitting part device for a stroboscope simple in structure causing no mechanism failure while allowing the execution of a wide angle and a narrow angle to a subject by arranging discharge tubes at two focal points of a major axis on the elliptic shape of a reflecting mirror of a semi-elliptic shape formed of an ellipse, and using the discharge tubes so as to be switchable.

The light emitting part device for the stroboscope composed of a power source supplying electric power if necessary comprising a battery, a microcomputer, a booster circuit, an interface circuit, etc. and a head carrying out light emission comprising a capacitor, the reflecting mirror, the discharge tubes, etc. can set an irradiation angle with respect to the subject to a wide angle or a narrow angle by comprising the reflecting mirror formed in a semi-elliptic shape formed of the ellipse, and a plurality of discharge tubes arranged in parallel with the reflecting mirror in positions that correspond to the plurality of focal points of the elliptic shapes of the reflecting mirror, and selectively switching the plurality of discharge tubes to carry out discharge.
