Abstract:
PURPOSE: To greatly reduce physical and man-power costs more than conventionally by performing not only nondestructive but also on-line inspection, improving product reliability and automating processes.
CONSTITUTION: In a device and a method for inspecting electric resistance welding, in particular regarding an on-line nondestructive inspection device and an inspection method utilizing a neural circuit network, an analog-digital converter 15 converts a voltage signal detected by grounding with one load side 12 of an electric resistance welding machine into a digital signal for providing an on-line nondestructive inspection device. A computer system 17 is provided, which includes software for detecting the peak value of each cycle by using the signal digitized by the converter 15 as an input and a multilayer neural circuit network for inspecting a welding state by using data obtained by the software as an input.
