Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing strips of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a lithographic board having a fine structure optimum for executing electrochemical etching.
SOLUTION: As for the method for producing strips of aluminum or an aluminum alloy for a lithograph roughened by electrolysis, the strips of the alloy are continuously cast and are next subjected to rolling to a final thickness. The cast strips are rolled to have a final thickness at the reduction of thickness of at least 90% without further heating. As a result, the fine structure formed in the region near the surface of the strip improves the behavior of electrolytic etching.
