Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of reducing a heating quantity while restraining an enlargement in the rotary tool shaft direction of a tool post.SOLUTION: A machine tool (1) comprises a tool post 10 having a tool arrangement surface 50 on which a plurality of rotary tools T2 rotating by rotational driving force F1 transmitted to a driven gear G1 are arranged in a state of projecting in a rotary tool shaft direction D1. The tool post 10 includes a transmission gear (60) movable along a virtual plane PL1 of passing through a plurality of driven gears G1 and directly or indirectly meshing in different positions (P1-P6) with the plurality of respective driven gears G1, a rotational driving part 70 for rotating the transmission gear (60) by meshing with the transmission gear (60) and an object selection part 80 for putting the transmission gear (60) in a position for directly or indirectly meshing with a driven gear G10 of a driving object selected from the plurality of driven gears G1 by moving the transmission gear (60) along the virtual plane PL1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
