Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool capable of easily performing the carring-in/out of works in a fully closed splash guard, prevent a temperature difference from occurring on the works, and also prevent a machining error from occurring. SOLUTION: A machine tool is structured so that a side cover 31 can also be moved in the longitudinal direction for opening and closing in order to enable at least three surface of the front, upper, and side surface of a splash guard to open. Also a cutting fluid feed pipe for cooling the rear surface of an angle rest on which a work is mounted is installed flexibly at the rear of fixed and movable covers 11a, 13, and 15 so that the cutting fluid feed pipe can be installed at a short length.
