PURPOSE: To obtain the surface-mounting type inductor which can be treated easily by an automatic fitting machine by a method wherein, on both terminal edge faces of a winding sheet, the edge face of an outer circumferential face conductive path and the exposed edge face of a rolled-in face conductive path are connected in the prescribed order using a connecting conductor, and a terminal metal fitting is fitted to both end parts of the roll sheet.

CONSTITUTION: On one edge face of a roll sheet, the exposed edge face of the first conductive circuit 6f, located in the vicinity of the finishing end of roll on a rolled-in surface, and the conductive circuit 6b second from the finishing end of roll are connected by a connecting conductor 5, and also the exposed edge face of the second conductive circuit 6g on the rolled-in surface and the third conductive circuit 6c on the outer circumference are connected by a connecting conductor 5. Both edge faces of the roll sheet 1 are covered by a cap-like insulating material 3, and a shallow cap-like terminal metal fitting 4 is provided on the insulating material 3. As a result, a surface-fitting choke coil which is treated easily by an automatic fitting machine can be obtained.
