When a vehicular molded ceiling laminated with a base material 9 and a surface layer 8 with a hot-melt layer 10 between them is covered at the end 9a of its opening 1 with a surface layer terminal part 8a, an unmolded part 12 is extended to the corner part 5 of the opening 1 during first press molding of the base material 9 by heating, and the side of the hotmelt layer 10 laminated over the surface of the surface layer 8 is laid on the surface of the molded base material 9 to perform second press molding, to attach the surface layer 8 in place by use of extra heat generated during the first molding operation. Then the surface layer terminal part 8a and the unmolded part 12 of the base material 9 are laminated together only by the extra heat without applying pressure to them. By tearing the unmolded part 12 under these conditions, the hard hot-melt layer 10 can be stripped off the surface of the terminal part 8a in such a way that the layer 10 is kept laminated with the unmolded part 2, whereby the terminal part 8a is softened.
