Title:
METHOD FOR AMINATING BISBROMOBENZENE COMPOUND
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS6335549
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a bisaniline compound useful as an intermediate raw material for heat-resistant resin, varnish, etc., at one stage and readily, by aminating a bisbromobenzene compound with ammonia in the presence of a catalyst of copper or copper compound in a liquid phase.

CONSTITUTION: A bisbromobenzene compound shown by formula I (X is O, S, CO or SO2) is aminated with ammonia by the use of at least one selected from copper and copper compounds as a catalyst (e.g. cuprous bromide) to give a bisaniline shown by formula II and/or 4-amino-4'-bromobisbenzene compound. Amination is carried out at ≥30°C at critical temperature of ammonia of <132.4°C preferably at 50W115°C in a solvent such as pentane, hexane, etc., at 20W80kg/cm2G. 2mol ammonia is used based on 1g atom bromine of the bisbromobenzene compound.
