To provide a method for manufacturing a prepreg which controls the adhesion amount of resin varnish with a high precision and forms no voids in a base material, and an apparatus therefor.
The base material 1 is subjected to pressure reducing treatment or evacuation treatment by a pressure reducing means, for example, a suction type backup roll 11 to be stabilized and subsequently coated with the resin varnish 2 by dies 12 and 13. The coated resin varnish is sucked by the suction type backup roll 11 to accelerate the impregnation with the resin varnish and the coated base material is further coated with an insufficient amount of the resin varnish by an other die B13 to manufacture the prepreg. The prepreg manufacturing apparatus is also disclosed.
