Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recording information on a rewritable optical recording medium having a plurality of information recording layers, the method by which sufficient erasing rate is secured even when carrying out direct overwrite to any information recording layer.
SOLUTION: In the method for recording the information on a stacked optical recording medium 10 provided with at least an L0 layer 20 and an L1 layer 30 by irradiating the medium 10 with a laser beam from a light-incident plane 13a, the information recording to the L0 layer 20 is carried out on the basis of an off-pulse recording method, and the information recording to the L1 layer 30 is carried out on the basis of an on-pulse recording method. Thereby, it is possible to secure the sufficient erasing rate even when the direct overwrite is carried out to any information recording layer.
