Title:
METHOD FOR ASSAYING DRUG RESISTANCE OF HIV
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2002191399
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a rapid and simple method for assaying a drug resistance using a cell strain for assaying human immunodeficiency virus-1(HIV-1) infectivity titer and especially the method for assaying the drug resistance by which a multi-sample can be rapidly treated.

This method for assaying the drug resistance against HIV is characterized by bringing an animal cell capable of expressing a secretory reporter protein due to HIV-1 infection into contact with a sample containing HIV-1 in the presence of the test drug and detecting the reporter protein secreted on a culture supernatant due to the HIV-1 infection.
