Abstract:

To provide a method, a device and a computer program to determine a standard rod type which can be applied to different fuel assemblies in different reactor cores.

The method includes a stage for determining a set of threshold values related to a rod type and a stage for finding an initial population of the rod type to be evaluated in order to use it in cores of the number selected in a reactor plant on the basis of the threshold values. Based on the initial population of the rod type, a database on the designs of new fuel assemblies which can be applied to one or more cores and can be selected can be generated. Data on assemblies related to at least one subset of the designs of the selectable new fuel assemblies are retrieved from the database, and a target value of the rod type can be selected from the initial population on the basis of the data on the assemblies retrieved as a set of standard rod types.
