Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method for automatically labeling a package with a minimum possibility of errors after a reusable medial instrument, e.g. an endoscope accessary, has been wrapped in the package before or after sterilization prior to use.
CONSTITUTION: A reading device 9 is operated so that a machine-readable mark attached to a medical instrument 1 is read, an output signal of the reading device 9 is processed by an electronic processor 10, an operator-readable mark is printed by a printer 11 controlled by the processor 10, and the label is stuck to a package.
