To provide a method for manufacturing a high-performance, low-cost and long size polarizing plate comprising an obliquely stretched polarizing film, with which an yield ratio in a polarizing film blanking step is improved and the polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display using the polarizing film.

The method for manufacturing the polarizing plate contains a step to stretch a polymer film for the polarizing film wherein an absorption axis of the polarizing film is neither parallel nor vertical to the longitudinal direction. The method for manufacturing the same comprises at least an operation out of an operation to dye the polymer film for the polarizing film to produce a polarizer and an operation to add a film hardening agent to the film in the stretching step. Additionally the polarizing plate and the liquid crystal display using the polarizing film manufactured with the method are provided.
