Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve cone cup of cardboard (120-160 g/m2) used in terms of material constitution and well based on the basic structural elements of a conventional sleeve cone cup molding machine while maintaining its sufficient adaptability to a conventional automatic vending machine and further, achieve a satisfactory sealing even by only attaching the linear contact part of a mandrel to the cardboard under pressure for a short time.
SOLUTION: A hot-melt resin applied to a sealing part S1 is made to melt by blowing a hot blast to almost the entire area of the sealing part S1, and immediately thereafter, a sleeve blank S of the hot-melt resin which is still molten is fed into a space between a pair of mutually opposed and rotatable conical mandrels 30, 31 positioned in the same direction to be taken up in a conical shape. Further, the sealing part S1 is rapidly quenched while being applied to these paired mandrels 30, 31 under pressure. Thus it is possible to bond the sealing part S1 with the hot-melt resin in a short time.
