To provide a method for producing metal particulates in which the problem such as the enlargement of metal particulates caused by plasma irradiation is suppressed.
The method for producing metal particulates includes: a stage where a first metal molten salt comprising an alkali metal chloride is irradiated with plasma, so as to reduce alkali metal ions and to produce an alkali metal, thus a second metal molten salt in which the alkali metal is dispersed is prepared; and a stage where the second metal molten salt and a third metal molten salt comprising the objective metal ions are mixed, so as to produce the metal particulates of the objective metal ions, thus a fourth metal molten salt comprising the objective metal particulates is prepared. By the action of the alkali metal, the metal ions as the target of conversion into particulates are reduced, so as to be metal particulates. According to this invention, there is no need of irradiating the objective metal ions with plasma, thus the enlargement of the produced metal particulates caused by plasma irradiation can be prevented.
