PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing phosphorous-containing iron where the concentration of phosphorous contained in dephosphorization slag into molten iron can be effectively promoted, thus the concentration of the phosphorous in the obtained phosphorous-containing iron can be effectively increased, and a method for producing a fertilizer.SOLUTION: Provided is a method for producing phosphorous containing iron in which phosphorous is concentrated from a dephosphorization slag generated in dephosphorization treatment in steel making refining using a vertical furnace, comprising a raw material arrangement step where a bottom part carbonaceous material is charged to the bottom part at the inside of the vertical furnace, and raw material having dephosphorization slag including an iron component and a phosphorous component is charged and arranged on the bottom part carbonaceous material at the inside of the vertical furnace together with the charged carbonaceous material; a melting step where, after the raw material arrangement step, a combustion supporting gas is introduced into the bottom part carbonaceous material at the inside of the vertical furnace, a reducing atmosphere is made, and the raw material is melted to obtain melted phosphorous-containing iron; and an exhaust step where, after the melting step, the phosphorous-containing iron is exhausted from the vertical furnace, and the content of the iron element in the raw material arranged at the inside of the vertical furnace is controlled to 6 to 25 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
