To suppress the viscosity rise of an unvulcanized rubber composition while maintaining excellent low heat build-up properties due to the use of a tetrazine compound.SOLUTION: A method for producing a rubber composition according to an embodiment includes adding carbon black and a tetrazine compound to a first diene rubber to be mixed together with a mixer, and discharging the mixture; and adding a second diene rubber and silica to the acquired mixture to be mixed together with the mixer, and discharging the mixture.SELECTED DRAWING: None
