PURPOSE: To provide a heating container for a microwave oven capable of performing an efficient cooking related to boiling foods or steaming goods within a short period of time.

CONSTITUTION: A heating container is comprised of a pan main body 5 of a double-walled part 9 having a bottom part and a side wall part provided with a hollow clearance part 8 therein and a lid 6 closing the pan main body 6. Since this configuration has a superior thermal insulating effect, once the cooked item is heated, its reduction in temperature is less in its value, so that it is not necessary to perform a thermal insulative heating of it after heating up to a specified temperature. Accordingly, the heating and cooking time is short in its length and an occupying time of the cooking device can be shortened.
