A mobile terminal device 100 checks whether a user is an authorized user on the basis of the user's operation, uploads predetermined data among pieces of data stored in a memory to a predetermined server 300 when its authentication result is negative, and erases the data from the memory after completing the transmission. It is also possible to instruct uploading and erasure of the data from the outside by e-mail or a tone signal string made by a telephone to the mobile terminal device 100.
