Abstract:
To provide a mold for molding an optical element which can be demolded without deforming an optical surface.
In a mold for molding a lengthy plastic optical element, a molding piece 5 for molding the optical function surface of the optical element, the first slide piece 6 for molding one end surface in the longitudinal direction of the element, and the second slide piece 6a for molding the other end surface in the longitudinal direction of the element, a gate part 3 connected to the other end surface, and the sides 3a, 2a of a runner part 2 are provided, and the first and second slide pieces 6, 6a move to be separated from the element when the mold is opened.
