Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a molding resin composition having excellent mechanical properties and heat resistance and good surface state by blending a liquid crystalline polyester carbonate resin with mineral fibers as an essential component and inorganic fibers arbitrarily containing glass fibers. CONSTITUTION:A molding resin composition especially suitable for injection molding, comprising (A) 95-20wt.% liquid crystalline polyester carbonate resin, preferably resin composed of a: aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid residue, b: aromatic diol residue, c: carbonate residue, d: aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue, having a molar ratio satisfying formula I to formula III, (B) 5-80wt.% inorganic fibers consisting essentially of B1: 5-100wt.% mineral fibers (e.g. rock wool or ceramic fibers), preferably ground fibers having 20-500mum average fiber length, 2-10mum average fiber diameter and 5-100 aspect ratio and B2: 95-0wt.% glass fibers.
