Title:
MONITORING SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2006215693
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a monitoring system that enables a proximity sensor to be easily installed even in a location where space around the subject of measurement is limited, thus greatly reducing the labor and effort required to lay cable in a conventional way.

The monitoring system includes a proximity sensor 5 disposed in proximity to the rotating shaft 4 of a generating turbine for detecting the displacement of the rotating shaft 4, and a signal processing part 9 for extracting characteristic quantities of the displacement of the rotating shaft 4 according to detection outputs sent from the proximity sensor 5. The proximity sensor 5 and the signal processing part 9 are connected to each other by radio.
