Abstract:

PURPOSE: To contrive to prevent the leakage of a cooling liquid and to improve the cooling capacity of an apparatus by inserting a pipe member having a diameter smaller than that of a through hole into said through hole provided at a rotating shaft and by providing a fringer on the side adjoining a rear housing.

CONSTITUTION: A rotating shaft 14 is coaxially provided with a through hole 40. The tip of said through hole 40 is closed by a plug member 38 and a pipe member 30 having a diameter smaller than that of the through hole 40 is inserted into said hole. A cooling liquid from said pipe member 30 goes through a passage between said through hole 40 and pipe member 30 to cool the rotating shaft 14 and the rotor 12. Also, a fringer 50 is provided at the rotating shaft 14 between an oil seal 56 for sealing a trap chamber 46 and a storage housing 66. Said fringer 50 rotates together with the rotating shaft 14 to shake off the cooling liquid leaking from said oil seal 36 by its centrifugal force and to prevent said liquid from entering a rotation detector 54. Thus, the leakage of a cooling liquid is prevented and the output of a motor can be made higher.
