Title:
JOINING METHOD FOR CERAMICS AND METAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0615434
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To omit precise working of the joining surface of ceramics by performing metallizing to the surface of a ceramics member, and thereafter, fixing an Al alloy by a cast-in method, and fitting it to other metal.

CONSTITUTION: On the tip of a shaft 1 made of ceramics, a metallizing layer 1a is formed. The tip of the shaft 1 is cast-in, and a covering part 2 of wall thickness of an Al alloy is provided. The covering part 2 is finished to prescribed dimensions. By providing a fitting hole 3a in a shaft 3 made of a metal, the covering part 2 is fitted therein, and the shaft 1 of ceramics and the shaft 3 made of a metal are joined. Irrespective of dimensional accuracy and surface roughness of the joining surface of ceramics, it can be joined easily to a metal. A shock from the outside is absorbed by an aluminum alloy and it is scarcely damaged.
