Abstract:

To prevent the rectangle of a demagnetizing curve from being lowered after plating concerning an Nd-Fe-B sintered magnet, for which nickel plating is applied to the surface, in micro-form, with which the value of S/V is greater than 1 mm-1 and unit weight is less than 1g when a surface area is S mm2 and volume is V mm3.

A plating liquid is made flow or further a nitrogen gas or inert gas is bubbled in the plating liquid or pressure around the plating liquid is kept in a pressure reducing state. Thus, the quantity of hydrogen solved in the plating liquid is reduced and the quantity of hydrogen contained in a magnet having a coating is made less than 100 ppm.
