Abstract:

PURPOSE: To industrially produce a noblemetal hydrosol useful in coloring the artificial leather consisting of a polyamide or polyester fiber and a polyurethane resin.

CONSTITUTION: This noblemetal hydrosol contains the colloid of the noble metal selected from gold, silver, palladium, platinum, rhodium and ruthenium and an anionic surfactant consisting of the alkali salt of an aromatic sulfonic acid-formalin condensate, and the pH is controlled to 2.5 to 4.0. The hydrosol is formed by reducing an aq. soln. of noblemetal salts selected from gold, silver, palladium, platinum, rhodium and ruthenium in the presence of an anionic surfactant consisting of the alkali salt of the aromatic sulfoninc acid-formalin condensate or by adjusting the pH of the reduced hydrosol with acid.
