Abstract:

PURPOSE: To prevent the polishing from being deflected by holding distance of a space in which a bottom surface of a non-magnetic vessel corresponding to a rotary permanent magnet does not come into contact with the rotary permanent magnet variably as required, putting polishing liquid and a magnetic metal piece in the vessel, and polishing a non-magnetic material to be polished in the vessel by random rotary magnetic current.

CONSTITUTION: A rotary plate 5 on which a permanent magnet 4 is arranged is attached on a shaft 3 of a motor 2 fixed in a lower part of a box-type case 1. They are arranged in such a manner that rotary magnetic current is uniformly diffused and distributed, centering on a rotary shaft 3, irrespective of its position in a non-magnetic vessel 6. The non-magnetic vessel 6 containing polishing liquid and magnetic metal pieces is put on a hold plate 10 and set within a box-type case 10. Distance of a corresponding space between the rotary permanent magnet 4 and the non-magnetic vessel 6 is adjusted according to the required finish degree of a non-magnetic material to be polished. Owing to this constitution, magnetic current spreads over the whole surface and becomes a random current so that uniform polishing can be performed.
