CONSTITUTION: In this numerical controller provided with a freely attachable and detachable system memory 103 for incorporating a system software for which a standard function and plural software option functions are integrated and a nonvolatile memory for storing a prescribed parameter so as to validate the desired software option function among the plural software option functions, an option management card for incorporating the option management data of a software and a hardware, an option setting program for raising the prescribed parameter of the nonvolatile memory based on the option management data and a hardware constitution recognition program for judging whether or not automatically discriminated hardware constitution at present and hardware option constitution in the option management data match and letting the option setting program be continued when they match is provided freely replacably with the system memory.
