Title:
OPERATIONAL AMPLIFIER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3416479
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a high speed operation and to reduce consumption current by varying the bias current of an output state buffer in accordance with differential voltage between a normal input terminal and an inverted input terminal.
SOLUTION: The output of an operational amplifier 1 is inputted to an output stage buffer 3, is impedance-converted and is outputted to an output terminal 7. A signal detected by a differential voltage detection means 2 detecting differential voltage between the normal input terminal 5 and the inverted input terminal 6 in the operational amplifier 1 is inputted to the output stage buffer 3 and it becomes a control signal for varying the bias current of the output stage buffer 3. When the input voltage of the normal input terminal 5 is higher than the input voltage of the inverted input terminal 6, the bias current of the output stage buffer 3 is varied so that the voltage of the output terminal 7 improves the driving ability of a side where the voltage of the output terminal 7 rises. When normal input voltage is lower than inverted input voltage, the bias current of the output stage buffer 3 is varied so that it improves the sink ability of a side where the voltage of the output terminal 7 drops.
