Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject compound comprising a specific organic phosphorus compound, excellent in stability to heat, hydrolysis, etc., and useful as a ligand for a complex catalyst, a catalyst component, etc., for producing an unsaturated alcohol from a conjugated alkadiene and water.
SOLUTION: The objective compound is a new organic phosphorus compound of formula I [X is O; A1 is a (substituted) alkyl, an alkoxy, an aryl or an aryloxy; A2 and A3 are each a (substituted) aromatic ring; A4 is a divalent organic group having an ethylene unit; Q1 and Q2 are each CR1R2 (R1 and R2 are each H, a 1-12C alkyl, phenyl, etc.), O, S, SO2, NR3 (R3 is H or methyl), SiR4R5 (R4 and R5 are the same kind as the R3) or CO; (x), (y), (m) and (n) are each 1 or 0] and useful as a catalyst component for producing an unsaturated alcohol. The compound is obtained by reacting a partial structure of the formula II with a phosphorus compound to provide a cyclic phosphorus compound of formula III and further reacting the compound of formula III with a Grignard reagent prepared by reacting A1-Br compound with Mg.
