To provide a part-mounting device which exhibits high spatial efficiency of portions in which parts are stored or from which parts are suppled, high workability at the exchanging of parts, high productivity at the time of ounting of parts and high connection reliability, and is low-cost.
A tray-supplying means 130 have a first storing portion 131 which can store trays 103 containing several parts in layers, a second storing portion 132 which can store one tray from the first storing portion 131, and a third storing portion 133 which can store empty trays from the second storing portion 132 in layers. Parts retrieving means 120 is movable in X and Y- directions and retrieves parts from a tray stored in the second storing portion. A part-mounting means is movable in a direction Z orthogonal to the two intersecting axes, receives parts from the parts retrieving means, and mounts them on a substrate.
