Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate multiple kinds of categories by executing discrimination through the use of a scale when the scale calculated by calculation satisfies a previously decided condition and executing discrimination using plural neural circuits when it does not satisfy the condition.
SOLUTION: The feature vector 102 of an input pattern 101 is extracted. Distances with the feature vectors of respective standard patterns are calculated every category. Whether a first candidate is applied to the previously decided condition or not is detected. When it is applied, the category 103 of the first candidate is registered in an identification result memory 5. When it is not applied, identification by the designated neural circuit is executed and the result is reregistered in the identification result memory 5. The multiple kinds of the categories containing similar categories can be identified and a similar category set can be generated at need. Thus, fine turning corresponding to an addition purpose is easy.
