Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric switch having a wide detection range capable of optionally setting the characteristics of detection sensitivity and correctly performing the setting operation of a detection distance even when the amplification factor of an amplifier is shifted from a reference value.
SOLUTION: Before detection operation, the amplification factor of an amplification factor variable amplifier circuit 4 is successively switched in three stages, pseudo light reception signals are inputted from a pseudo light reception signal switching circuit 3 and a correction value of for a deviation from a reference amplification factor ratio is computed based on an obtained light reception level value. At the time of detection operation, the entire range of an adjustment level corresponding to the set position of a variable resistor 6 is divided into three sections, the amplification factor of the amplification factor variable amplifier circuit 4 is switched corresponding to the section to which the adjustment level belongs and data corresponding to the adjustment level are read from a judgment level data table stored inside a microcomputer 7 and corrected by the correction value. The judgement level and the light reception level are compared and detection signals are obtained.
