Abstract:
To provide a pinhole detection method and apparatus which enable the detection of pinholes even in an insulating packed product having an air layer with a longer distance.
The insulating packed product desired to examine the presence of pinholes is placed in a brush corona or streamer corona discharging area to perform detections of the pinholes. Electrically charged particles in the corona area reaches the contents thereof through the pinholes and the air layer. This enables accurate detection of pinholes with clear changes in currents even when the air layer with a longer distance exists inside the insulating packed product.
