Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately measure the thickness of an air bag door cleavage part without performing destructive inspection.
SOLUTION: A thin-walled trench 40 as an air bag door cleavage part is formed in a skin 10 composed of thermoplastic resin by high frequency heating. A first electrode 16 and a second electrode 18 for high frequency heating are used as they are, a capacitance Cp between the electrodes 16 and 18 is measured by using an LCR meter 44. On the basis of the measured capacitance Cp, data base which was stored beforehand in a personal computer 46 is used, and a plate thickness (d) of the thin-walled trench 40 in the skin 10 after working is calculated with the personal computer 46.
