In a pneumatic tire having a structure of disposing belt layers 6 at an outer circumferential side of a carcass layer 5 in a tread portion 1 and having a specified mounting direction to a vehicle, the belt layers 6 include belt cords 7 extended in a circular arc shape. The circular arc shaped belt cords 7 are arrayed so as to be convex toward outside when mounted on the vehicle. The pattern of the tread portion 1 has at least two pieces of circumferential main grooves 8. In at least three land portions 9, 10 divided by the circumferential main grooves 8, a groove surface-area ratio of the outermost land portion 9 when mounted on the vehicle is smaller than the groove surface-area ratio of the other land portions 10.
