Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enable completing elimination of fission product gas in a reactor containment for avoiding the necessity of especially setting a fission gas elimination device outside the containment and preventing the large-sizing of the plant.
CONSTITUTION: In a pressure suppression pool 4 connected with vent pipes 5a to the dry well 3 placing below a reactor pressure vessel 1 and in the upper part of the containment 2, the pressure suppression pool 4 is separated in the diameter direction into a pressure suppression pool first room 4a and a pressure suppression pool second room 4b. The air layer of the pressure suppression pool first room 4a and the liquid layer of the pressure suppression pool second room 4b are connected with vent pipes 5b and the air layer of the pressure suppression pool second room 4b and the outside of the reactor containment 2 are connected with vent pipes 5c having stacks 6 at the tip, respectively and an open-close valve 7 is attached to the vent pipe 5c.
