PURPOSE: To realize positioning of high accuracy by positioning with direct objects such as a former ring retaining a green case as a primary positioning object and a BT drum retaining a belt tread.

CONSTITUTION: A conveying unit 10 is conveyed to the position of a positioning object such as a belt tread 90, a green case 91 or the like by a conveying unit driving device. After that, the conveying unit 10 is transferred in a manner that the reference surface of the conveying unit 10 conforms to a center line of the object by transferring a couple of guide arms 80, left and right, in a manner to pinch the object and positioning of high accuracy can be carried out. As a BT drum retaining the belt tread 90 and a former ring 92 retaining the green case 91 are used as an object for direct positioning, the positioning is never affected by the deformation of a fixed frame, the dimension deviation of mounting position of the object, and the deterioration with age.
