Abstract:
To provide a preheater for preheating a molten metal-supplying path while preventing the entrance into a cavity side of a metal piece, without the need for a fastener used for arranging a sleeve.SOLUTION: A preheater (40) includes a hot air generator (40a) and a plurality of pipes (41a to 44a) for guiding hot air(h1 to h4) supplied from the hot air generator (40a). End portions (41b to 44b) of the plurality of pipes (41a to 44a) are inserted into a supplying path (20) for supplying a molten metal to a mold cavity (C1) of a casting die (30). The plurality of pipes (41a to 44a) send the hot air (h1 to h4) to the supplying path (20). The supplying path (20) includes weirs (241 to 244) and an ingate (21) provided with a cross section larger than those of the weirs (241 to 244). The mold cavity (C1), the weirs (241 to 244), and the ingate (21) are continuous to pass through the molten metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
